    I haven't got jack.

Did you pay for it? I only sent the order form, I never got a bill so far to pre-order it.

Ah, then Koth...I think the Slants may be the warmer pair with the Enigmas more "fun". :p

Enigma is more "fun" definitely. Paradox are like monitors. Paradox slants are that + more bass and a wider stage.

    ANOTHER UPDATE:

    Not so good:
    1. We won't be providing a balanced input option after all. The chassis with boards in place is not big enough to cram in XLR inputs, SE inputs, IEC power, switch, and the balanced input transformers on the back.
    2. Craig's haunted house had a burst water main this week. This will slow things down a bit.
    Maybe good:
    1. We might be able to provide an Isobox type solution using Jensen or Cinemag transformers, possibly at a discount. We won't be using the pro-level 600/600 ohm transformer as there have been sporadic reports of the Schiit DACs not being able to drive them from EC Studio customers. We test the Isobox solution first, but having seen several in the field with Schiit DACs, I doubt there will be any issue.
    2. You won't have any difficult decisions to make regarding balanced or SE.
    3. You can use the external Isobox box for other SE amps.

I think that's a fair compromise. Better than cutting corners somewhere else on the amp for the sake of the transformers.

My wish is for well less than $300 (street price) for BW customers. We have an in with both Jensen and Cinemag. Another option would be EC box.

You guys already know that I think the brouhahaha over the need for balanced is 265% stupid. We are thinking about a balanced Copperhead in 2017/18, and the thought of that makes me puke. Like we're ripping people off for nonsense.

    http://www.superbestaudiofriends.or...nd-better-discussion-for-noobs-and-boobs.733/

But if you guys insist, we'd be happy to oblige in 18 to 36 months.

Thanks for the update. Now I don't have to worry about it. I'll just consider the $300 as money I can put towards an HD800.;-)

Exactly and what I've been trying to stress all along! Put the $300 on a better DAC, upgrade from HD800 to HD800S, EC Studio savings fund, etc. The BW is nice amp; but our secret plan has always been to get you guys hooked so you opt for our expensive stuff. :D

Thanks for the update Marv I'm good with skipping the balanced option. Such a great feeling saving money :)

The Jensen Transformers' ISO-MAX series is interesting, offering various different solutions...

It was that thread that convinced me to stop looking at only balanced amps, which is what put the BW in my sights in the first place.

Looks like I won't be needing the box. Cool that you're providing them though!

The Jensen transformer is perfect for when you have a DAC with a better balanced out than single ended. Otherwise I would never have bothered. It does work great with my BW from my Gungnir Multibit.

For the record, my phonostage is currently 100% single-ended and I'm stupid happy with it.
