How to add a heart emoji on SBAF

SBAF has long needed a heart emoji. I've uploaded a couple tiny heart images to imgur, so you can add a text replacement to your phone that for example, replaces "sbafheart" with one of these image url's, and then add these images anywhere with the forum's image URL tool here:

Extra Small is basically emoji size, though for some reason the forum places it a bit high in line, so you get a line space. But it's still a heart!

Well F me. I didn't know emoji's worked on this forum. That's a heck of a lot easier! And looks better. Facepalm.

Can android and PC users see the heart emoji's in @Cspirou 's post? That means we can use all kinds of crazy smiley's too if so.

edit... emoji's don't work from desktop

Any of the SBAF forum administrators should be able to add heart emoji to the post editor's list of emoji. @purr1n?

 

My heart was crushed when I was a little girl. I demand equal emojisism - maybe a corpse or perhaps a puppy on fire....

hmmm... opened up the panel for me, and inserted in the editor... but then disappeared from the message when I posted

 

hmmmm.. perhaps, only certain emojis are allowed in this forum... that heart in my original post was from the emoji panel..

edit: yup.. just tested... inserted a bunch of emojis into this post & they disappeared.. but the heart one worked... annoying to not know which ones actually work... fail..

It isn't the forum that controls how fonts, including unicode, are rendered but rather the browser used to display forum content.

so @rhythmdevils idea of using a small jpg or png is the most reliable and consistent way to insert an emoji. Unicode is browser dependent. Think of them as another font.

It does appear the forum has an upper limit to the unicode emoji number allowed. Below that value is ok, above is not allowed.
