Probably the biggest change is that differences between various driver tubes seem to stand out more now. And what used to be slightly too bright or rough sounding tubes now sound more balanced and smoother without making the warmer tubes sound too warm now either (win-win).
Going through a lot of tube rolling and have accepted that the tube combo you use does sound very good but might not be the perfect match for my transformers. Otherwise, noticing the usual changes from these types of upgrades, mostly in that it sounds a bit smoother now, bit less dry (not that it wasn't smooth or dry before).
It might be slightly more resolving. Dynamics and a sense of power are about the same, and when you consider the fresh caps, that's probably a good sign for when they burn-in fully.
Sorry for the multi-part reply. I did have a minor panic attack when comparing against the MPX3 last night and found the latter more resolving. Turns out that Ken-Rad 6SN7 tube I recently got is horribly unresolving as a driver tube in the S7! Swapped out for a Sylv. Bad Boy, much better - and stronger bass!
