I had to look that up. Never heard of it. If you don't already then use liner gloves inside of larger gloves. Thin polartec liner gloves under some gloves with thick primaloft would probably be very warm. Maybe even too warm.
Lol @frenchbat. I reckon pogies + gloves might be the answer, but yeah I agree that double-gloving is better than one pair. Apparently the main problems occur if your fingers warm up too quickly after getting cold. Weird.
@yotacowboy yep those are same as "pogies". Got some on my mountain bike & they're ace. I'm riding drop bars mostly at the moment so not compatible. Hmm, wonder if anyone's made a drop bar pogie....
Your NHS has some useful information for you: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/chilblains/
Especially "avoid being outside when it's cold or damp." Hmmm. Better emigrate then!
Curious, about not warming up too fast. My parents told me that, and, of course, they were right. Too late for me to tell them. But hey, they were wrong about lots of other stuff!
Yeah, because when I've been out on the bike for a few hours & I'm freezing, I really want to wait ages before warming up my hands :-). Funnily enough, it's not just biking. I'm a bit of a tightwad, and working from home in the winter I generally leave the heating off, so get cold hands a lot. Tend to use the First Watt F7 as a hand-warmer rather than the central heating :-).
