It's mostly about software and me never having worked with the various programs available. I've previously read through the entire thread and got spooked. Even people who are seemingly much more familiar with the tech seem to have problems implementing it. I've also never worked with anything pi-related. I'm in the Thundercats/G.I. Joe generation.
There are multiple distros people use, some are more complex than others. I use Volumio which is very user friendly and have had no issues with it in a long time.
Hey man, I watched Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Transformers, M.A.S.K., Voltron...no worries. Once you flash the micro-SD card, the most difficult thing is finding the IP address of your Pi that your router assigned. I always recommend to people to use an Ethernet cable at first, but moOde is one of the easiest becasue you just go to http://moode:local. There are some YouTube videos out there.
