This sounds like a plan. I'd snatch one myself.

This right here- this needs to be on one of those f'ing embroidered samplers, framed and on the wall. It's very true, even if it'd upset some of the "establishing my credentials" dickwavers.

Also- gief K1000, if they can get that pesky planar QA down.

Here's a competent and in-depth and review of the MYSPHERE. I've been listening to a Mysphere 3.2 for several weeks now and agree with pretty much everything @miceblue says:

[N.B. as @sacredgates mentioned, the creators of the Mysphere (LB-acoustics) are a different company from Austrian Audio, so it would probably be a good idea to either change the thread title or move the Mysphere talk to a separate thread.]

My tl;dr: extremely natural sound, bass and treble tradeoffs at various positions of "wings"/floating transducers (bass rolloff, treble grain), but persistently good resolution through frequency spectrum. Soundstage adjustable, YMMV, but imaging is solid on the whole.

    Random intro stuff:
    • A good deal easier to drive than the K1000, won't need balls-to-the-wall powerful amps for satisfactory volume levels.
    • Wings adjustable "as much as you want" (but look to me more restricted than the K1k). Each wing individually adjustable, incl height. Good for those with asymmetrical ears so yay.
    • Sound changes depending on angle of drivers to ear (duh). Closer to ears = more bass, grainier treble, and smaller soundstage; wings more open = less bass and smoother treble with more diffuse soundstage.
    • With wings fully open imaging is good, esp. for stuff like orchestral etc. 1/3rd open best for reviewer's preferences with genres: pop, EDM and high-dynamic range RnB. Positioning and imaging natural/accurate compared to other cans using binaural recordings at this position.
    Sound:
    • Clean sounding, like a planar, but without the impact of e.g. HFM or Audeze. Still closer than most dynamic headphones reviewer has listened to. Surprising resolution in bass "from a dynamic headphone".
    • Good linear bass balance at reviewer's preferred position, midrange well-integrated, everything sounds "natural and neutral". Maybe too much in presence region, making it brighter than rest of midrange. No harshness, shoutiness, or sibilance to note though.
    • Treble has good resolution and speed. "Natural" and smooth. Excellent measured* transient response, slower than electrostats but not as "grainy" as planars. Most natural-sounding treble at 1/3d open position.
    • Soundstage spot on, not too wide, deep, or tall like HD800 which is too diffuse. Very solid, but depending on adjustment. Still immersive, more like listening to speakers v. other headphones.
    • Competes with Utopia, LCD4, SR009. Reviewer thinks Utopia is too bright on whatever rig he listened to it out of. MySphere most to reviewer's preferences due to versatility of adjustable sound, and build is pretty damn good besides. Feels premium, worth its price, moreso than others mentioned.

*all measurements in video provided by manufacturer. Screengrabs from vid below:

FR looks to me to be pretty flat from subbass to midrange save for bottommost, but there's a weird Elear-ish dip in the upper mids and low treb. Not sure what comp was used for these.
