hi guys so am travelling in 3-4 weeks so wanted to get a amp as the amp in my gaming sound card is not nearly powerful enough and the max sound leaves me wanting more so i was thinking of going with any of these and leaving the dac on my soundcard the creative zxr as the driver as that should be fine so those are the 3 options not looking to spend more than 300 and has to be small since i have to take it with me

I haven't heard any of those, but if you want a cheap hd800 dac/amp, get the hifimediy 9023. Super cheap and loud, and its bass-boost goes great with the HD800.

Depends on what kind of sound you`re looking for. Vali can help to tame treble spikes and gives "tube warmth", if you`re into that kinda thing. The Apogee Groove is convenient because of size and the built in dac, so that`s probably what I would prefer. I`m not sure if the groove can power HD800s sufficiently though.

Playing with hd800 is a hard case (one of the hardest). Avoid them if you are not ready to throw 3 grands in the system...

I don't agree with that. Just buy a Vali and if you enjoy the 800 with it, then you're good. If not, consider a different headphone. An amp isn't going to completely change the basic sound signature of the headphone.

Typed that as I sit here deciding between the Vali/800 or Mjolnir/LCD as a preference.

I have a groove and it drives my 650 extremely well.
