    Hello fellow MuppetFace fans.

This is my first post here. I first stumbled across MuppetFaces' posts over on head-fi, but saw that he was nowhere to be seen there anymore so I googled around and finallly ended up on this forum and started bothering him via PMs. I was surprised to see that there were actually a whole community wanting to see more from MuppetFace - but I guess it all makes sense.

So yes. Hello. I will surely be monitoring this thread closely. Has anyone compiled a "best of" list of sorts? hehe :)

The internet is a funny place. We can get the feeling that we know someone really well; we can call ourselves their fan --- and yet we can get something really basic like their gender wrong. I embarrassed myslef by reacting to a face-to-face meeting with a young woman from another forum, "I thought you were male!" Not my first online gender error either.

Actually, on that forum, because it is country-travel-culture specific, nationality comes into it too. Very often, especially on more controversial threads, background matters. And very often people completely miss that they are talking to locals.

The internet is funny place. I for instance, despite my avatar, am actually a dog.

Bah, I wouldn't fuss over a simple mistake. The audio world is a huge sausage-fest, so one would easily assume. Maybe its just one of the reasons why she's such a gem...

Then add that our new rando is from Norway, so language could be an added issue.

    @MuppetFace which is your closed-back favourite(s) ?
Have you heard/owned the SR-4070 or even the old SR-50?

    LOL

I hope I didn't offend anyone. Man or woman, it doesn't matter. Some people are great with words and add a lot of wisdom to a subject - in this case headphones and similar topics. And probably other subjects as well - although I haven't gotten that far yet.

I guess I should post my question - MuppetFace, what are your thoughts on dacs/amps etc, are you an objectivist that just looks at numbers and statistics, or do you feel there is a difference despite numbers being worse/similar etc?

In defense of @AudioThief , MuppetFace is traditionally a male name.

by the way since MuppetFace is busy with what I assume is real life, I wondered if it was acceptable to ask the rest of the community in this thread a question or two? I'm new to this forum and don't want to make an idiot of myself..

but what should I know about this forum - I assume its different from head-fi in more than one way

Another question is, why is there no Fostex TH 900 thread? :(

It's years since I last watched the muppets! Yes, time to revisit.

The lady that comes to mind is, of course, Miss Piggy. But there must have been others. And I wouldn't associate our Ms MuppetFace with Miss P!

    (bedtime: video tomorrow)

The other lady Muppet that comes to mind is Janice. This is pretty exceptional anyway but Janice also sings starting around 1:10. I love the stone drum guy,
