Donald North is a champ at customer service and deserves a shout out

He responds right away and seems to take time responding. I have no idea how he finds the time to do this with all the emails he must get.

I bought a used Stratus that wound up broken and a used Stellaris and he spent a lot of time with me answering questions about both amps and fixing the Stratus and upgrading it. And I bought them used! He even talked with my friend who is technically challenged over the phone TWICE and helped replace a fuse that got jammed into the holder of the Stellaris and wouldn't come out, and then again helping pack up the Stratus correctly. Both potentially very annoying problems/needs from his perspective but he was nothing but kind and patient and just offered to help however he could.

I'm blown away and can't remember ever meeting a manufacturer of any product who would spend so much time helping someone with one of their products that was purchased used. Or even if it was purchased new. No quick, flippant responses about the fuse assuming I was an idiot (it was legitimately jammed in there and stuck and was breaking trying to pull it out but usually a fuse replacement is VERY easy and it would not be weird to assume I was an idiot) or about the packaging. Just kindness and generosity.

I need to buy Donald a Chistmas Present, I feel that humbled by his grace and kindness.

Yep. He's a class act. Same experience here having bought 3 used DNA amps. He is always helpful and responsive to emails even though he owes me nothing.

 

Going to hop on the Donald North love train. I've bought new and used amps of his and no matter what our interaction was he has always been kind, considerate, helpful, thoughtful in his interactions and top notch in any measure of how humans should treat others.

I highly recommend his products and his service. Both are stellar(is) level.

 

As owner of two Stellaris, one custom made for me by Donald, the other bought used, Donald has been the epitome of patience and grace in handling all my questions and complications about scheduling and delivery. When anyone grumbles about how long it takes for Donald to build their amp, I just feel that both maker and product totally deserve our patience and appreciation.
