Up for sale is my beloved Sutherland Ph3D phono pre amp. A really really clean and quiet pre. Originally bought this from Marv, you can see his impressions here:

This has the stock op amps, not the upgraded ones mentioned in the mod and tweak thread. Only selling as I have a sickness that is always wondering what happens if I upgrade gear. Couple of scratches on case, but nothing big or offensive. Happy to provide more detail or pics upon request.

Selling without batteries, they are just about due to be changed and will jack up shipping weight quite a bit. In the almost year that I've owned this I have only had to change the batteries 1 times on 30 hours a week or so of playing time. They last a very long time.

Price: $500 (friends & contributors) / $550 (other) plus shipping in the US. Add 3% pay pal fees if necessary. Friends and Contributors preferred, but as this is a semi specialty item open to all.

Part of my rare (or common here) disease is that I buy shiny things that need tubes. So I went EAR 834p Deluxe. One tried and true design for another.

How does it compare to the Millet LR phono that I believe you also have?

The LR phono was probably a bit more detailed than the ph3d, but I never got it to be very quiet, and was probably the result of my build and some shielding issues I had. Tone on the LR was maybe a tiny bit warmer, the ph3d was lean, which I like for sources. I don't particularly remember there being much of a difference stage / image. Again, the highlight of the Ph3d is the battery power and its blackness.

    EDIT 06-16-17 SOLD Please move
