Schiit Asgard 2, b-stock, black, in great shape with original packaging. Intermittent use. So much better than headphone outs of typical vintage CD and integrated amps. A bargain at $60 shipped.

This inspires me to let some other stuff go. If anyone is in the New England area, with an interest in some older Magnepans, I have a decent pair of SMGa that I spent some hours with, between wires, glue, new cloth from the factory, and a Mundorf capacitor replacement for the ancient stocker. The sound is surprisingly good, but is at its best when moved forward into the room a bit. It's my first experience with dipole speakers, and they are fascinating.

I took pics during the refinishing, but there are already youtube videos of how to proceed. I am interested in more things Magnepan down the road. They pair well with an Adcom 5400 (refurbished by a local tech) through Anticable speaker wire. I have original boxes for both the Magnepans and the 5400. These deserve their own thread, but it is more of a two channel thing.

SMGa at $250, with local delivery for beer money. Adcom 5400 at $350, completely redone.
Both for $500 with Anticables thrown in. I will drive as far south as Boston to be social, or mildly annoying, depending upon the day.

 

The Focals and the Asgard 2 have sold.

 

Re: the Maggies, you'll likely find more traction in the Magnepan Users Group on Facebook. I'm a Maggie user just west of Boston, but no need for yours. Great pricing though!
