    4-25-16 update

$70 shipped, Soundwerx/Beezar DoodleBug. I eat the fees and shipping. Bought this built from Funch/TheloniouSnoop who was the builder, he's honestly one of the best I've seen. I found it was a noticeable change with my lower end/old transports but YMMV of course. I'm effectively going stone age with my setup so.... yeah I am out. The Doodlebug offers USB isolation and clean power like many other usb decrapifiers today, comes with the stock Triad wall wart.

    SOLD:

$30 shipped, pair of 6h23-eb reflektor tubes 1982 production. Back when I had the SFD-2 dac PCX really recommended these tubes. The guy I bought them from said they both tested at 2000 out of 2100 being new, not sure what tester he used. These are subs for 6922/7308/6dj8.

$450 shipped for the LNS. I eat the fees and shipping. Has original box and will be packed carefully. I've updated my listing for the millionth time with better details of this pair, to be honest I'm getting real close to just pulling the plug on these and keeping them.

Condition is overall excellent and comes complete with the factory packaging.

Lambda Nova Signature (LNS) - Foams removed, 507 pads, drivers re-glued to baffles

These are very well known to be one of the best sounding Lambda frame Stax' out there and the first time I heard a pair I knew it to be true even though I owned the O2mk1.

These have modern Stax leather 507 pads with modern cloth inner screens (original is pleather/foam). These are clean and in superb shape despite their age, not all scuffed up or rotting with old foam; they should last the new owner another lifetime or two. The only remaining nitpick I have is the headband padding; it is in GOOD condition, but is original so it's not quite pristine but it is still decent. International sellers offers genuine replacements for around $40 or $50 delivered in the USA if you want a new one.

I will also include genuine new and unused brown pleather (407) pads and adhesive though the 507 pads are most certainly better.

I've had some questions regarding this but to put all this in perspective... I paid $600 for these just in February of this year, the amount of time and money into this pair of lambdas is pretty staggering. Here's what's been refurbished:

    1) Old inner and outter facing foams removed; inner ear facing foam is replaced with modern Stax cloth screen grill. The original open cell foam deteriorates and gets pretty nasty over time; very common with old lambdas.

    2) Drivers re-attached to metal baffles with polyeurethane glue; the stock adhesive tape from the 90's does not last forever.

    3) Case holders/forks replaced with modern ones. One of the old ones broke and the tolerance with the old forks was too tight so they were noisy and squeaky anyways. To get these from Yamas costs $70 + 20 shipping

    4) Leather 507 pads to replace the stock pleather ones. To get these from Yamas costs $100 + 20 shipping. I am also throwing in a pair of pleather 407 pads (value $70) + new adhesive. The old stock pads are no longer obtainable.

I'm fuckin tempted by the LNS but the reason tells me to save the money for the L700. :)

You need both so we can compare!

I know the L700 is turning some heads, but the LNS is a classic, must be heard, Lambda for a Stax guy.

For those not in the know, the LNS is probably the most neutral, least etched Lambda. Really nice tone. The modded 727 is easily the best Stax amp besides the T2 IMO. This is a very fair price, you won't find much better for $1500.

Bringing this one back up; any help getting the Stax setup to a good home would be greatly appreciated. Hell I even have a video of the Stax rig in action.
