    I have a few items for sale!

    1. Bottlehead Crack + Speedball + Mods + Tubes - Mods include 68uf Jensen Crosscaps at output, PSU choke, Goldpoint stepped attenuator (pricey and supposedly one of the best around, unless you hate steppers), supposedly upgraded RCA jacks (unsure about this one). Inspected and fixed up by @fishski13, who added the Jensen caps for me. Internally, it's in really good, perfectly working condition. He can speak more to the condition of the amp, how it sounds after he worked on it, and any other mods/tweaks I might have overlooked.

    Tubes include a couple random 6080s, a Philips 6080, and a rebranded Tung Sol 5998 (labeled as Sylvania, and while I can find no info on this rebrand, pictures match up with other 5998s - note the tube is a little tilted relative to its base). I have a random assortment of 12AU7 and equivalent tubes, but I'd have to look over them all to get a complete list. Some include a Philips Miniwatt, Westinghouse, GE, AND I'll throw in my 6SN7 adapter from Garage1217 as well.

    The wood case is a reddish color and a bit roughed up in a few spots, mostly in the back. The glue holding it together came apart on me, so I added some super glue and used a bunch of packing tape to hold it together for now (tape is more of a precaution than anything). I can add metal L-brackets at the corners and remove the tape. It will be functional, but not necessarily pretty!

    Top metal part and the transformer cover are scratched and have some tarnish in a few places. I think this is a fairly common thing to happen? Again, not gorgeous, but functional.

    I am NOT parting out the tubes. You are buying the amp and whole lot of tubes.

    If you have an Audio GD dac with a hdmi i2s input this thing will work with it. I paired it with a Master 7 and it was extremely good. DACLadder on headFi compared it to a souped up OffRamp 5 and the results were really close. $250 for this is just crazy.

    Sweet deal! Btw, this includes all the cables you'd need: a BNC cable, a BNC to RCA, and a little metal chode adapter thing that goes from BNC to something (RCA?),as well as a usb cable... Not trying to tell @Hands what this includes, but it includes all of those things :)

    With the Super 7 pretty tweaked out, I only kept the Crack around for backup, and then later for amp comparisons. Right now, I could use the cash more than the amp. A few others can attest that I've talked about putting it up for sale for months now. Just got around to it. :)

    I so want that Bottlehead Crack but still think that with a young child and cats an exposed tube amp is not a good idea.

    I also wanted to add that I have heard this modded PM-2 and thought it was an improvement over stock (and I am a PM-2 owner). I think that at $350 it is quite a bargain and would buy it myself at that price if I did not already own the PM-2.

    If you teach your kid about the tubes and have him or her listen to the amp a little, they'll appreciate it and won't mess with it.
    It has worked out here ...so far :)

    I am frankly more concerned about the cats over which I have little to no control. And my son is a very impulsive 7-year old. Just not really a good idea. Something like the T-3 or Lyr2/Mjolnir 2 with less exposed tubes would probably be OK though. Back on topic I want to reiterate what a good deal the modded PM-2 is.

    LOL! Like I said, I like it when I'm travelling. Works great from the phone. Tuned like HD650-ish. Much better than stock IMO. I just rarely travel these days, and I could use the cash more than the headphones right now. I'd have sold them earlier if they were that bad. :)
