For sale is my SOtM SMS-200ultra Neo network bridge. This device functions to accept an incoming digital signal from a music server or NAS via an Ethernet cable connection and outputs via USB to a DAC.

The SOtM SMS-200ultra Neo is one of the best network bridges you can buy, and this unit has the upgraded SOtM sCLX-EX clock board, which alone is a $700 upgrade.

There are some very fine scratches on the top panel from using a stainless weight for damping and placement stability. These are slight defects that cosmetic only, and do not affect the functioning of the unit in any way.

    Description:
The sMS-200ultra is an upgraded network player equipped with a dedicated media player board and a high performance audio clock, born from SOtM's years of experience.

Improving upon the great reviews and user feedback on the sMS-200, the sMS-200ultra has been designed to include the sCLK-EX clock — the heart of this superior digital audio equipment. This new combination brings dramatic sound improvement. If you’ve been enjoying the great performance of the sMS-200, the addition of the sCLK-EX will enhance your experience beyond the usual sound limitations of traditional small source devices.

Use the master clock connector option to sync the sMS-200ultra with an external master clock device such as a Rubidium clock. This feature has the potential to redefine your perception of sound from small network players.

The sMS-200ultra is a digital technology device but, because it is based on SOtM’s deep understanding of analog technology, it can be defined as one of the few high-performance digital audio devices that performs superior analog sound.

With cutting edge technology providing the newly adapted heart to the sMS-200, the sMS-200ultra is born. Impress yourself with truly beautiful music.

SOtM is pricey new (eye rollingly so) but there’s a couple of us that have used this family of their products (I use the USB decrapifier with the same clock board) and they’re a decent value used. Moar betterer USB done well, at least, a few others (@rlow I’m thinking of in particular) have compared this product in particular favorably to a Pi2AES etc.

Thank you. This network bridge served me very well over the last few years and was a notable upgrade over the microRendu.

One of the best USB source with LPS and good streamer for someone with DDC even if USB is not your preferred DAC input

Agreed. That's why I bought it. I bought it based on Hans' review.

I've moved from my streamer (the SOtM), DAC (previously the Lampizator Baltic 3) and preamp (previously the First Sound Presence Deluxe dual-mono preamp with external dual-mono power supplies) to a....Lumin P1!

It has a bevy of inputs and outputs, including RCA and XLR.

Fully dual mono, from the Plitron transfomers in the fully-shielded power supply, to the "digital section" that uses dual-mono Lundahl transformers, and the analog output stage (the preamplifer functionality) which is also dual-mono.

And...it has a proper chassis ground terminal, so I can connect it to my fully segmented Shunyata Altaira SG ground hub set-up (which is AMAZING and provides a significant reduction in ground-plane noise, but I digress..:p)

And...it is FANTASTIC! Oh. My. Freakin'. God....

My P1 (lef, middle shelf) and Altairas (lower right) shown here with my little Nelson Pass-designed Amp Camp amps running as bridged monos...

And here with my Conrad-Johnson LP70S tube power amp...

By getting rid of my FS preamp and it's dual-mono external power supplies, Lampizator DAC, SOtM SMS-200ultra Neo, EtherREGEN, and the requisite digital cables, interconnects, and power supplies and power cables, i removed, get this: 15 bits of gear from the main rack alone. Now I run a single optical cable from the remote server room into an optical transceiver in the P1's SFP cage, and connect via a single interconnect to the amp. Job done!

The Lumin P1 is one of about half a dozen of the best components I've ever heard, regardless of price.
Those guys at Lumin have got it...goin' on.:)
