SL-1200 M3D with several upgrades, most notably the Rega RB-250 tonearm. Top plinth is slightly worn with mild scratches. Bottom has been modified for Rega tonearm output. Includes Ortofon 2M Blue with extra 2M Red stylus. Blue stylus has about 500 hours. Red stylus has less than an hour. Will also include the stock tonearm if you desire. Does include dustcover, but no hinges as M3D’s did not include hinges.

The RB250 arm was an upgrade in itself over the stock tonearm in overall clarity and immediacy. The Cardas rewire with the Audio Sensibility cable brought it to life even further. The cork mat is always my favorite for very balanced output and controlling vibrations and perfect match since the M3D only came with a cheap felt mat. The KAB delrin thrust plate took all the noise out of the thrust bearing as it was pretty worn out when I purchased this table, and now it will last for many years with it just being replaced last year with all the other upgrades. The only upgrades I did not do were the blue LED’s that were already installed when I purchased it.

I love this turntable and the only reason I am selling is because I am upgrading to a linear tracking turntable and cannot have two turntables around. This one I spent much time on making sure everything was correct on the tonearm swap.

    Total upgrades -

    Rega RB250 tonearm - $250
Technics RB chrome tonearm plate - $45
    Mitchell Tonearm counterweight - $150
    Cardas Tonearm wire w/5-pin DIN - $50
Audio Sensibility OCC Impact SX 5-Pin DIN to RCA 1.2m - $220
KAB Delrin thrust plate - $50
    Cork turntable mat - $20
Matching blue LED’s for all lights - n/a

$785 in upgrades not counting LED’s

I purchased the M3D for $450, making the total investment of everything over $1,300 when you include the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.
