Time for me to stop letting things gather dust and pass them on to loving homes.

    Valhalla 2 + stock tubes + Amperex orange globe 6DJ8 tubes - $200 shipped

Notes: the orange globes have almost no markings on them because I tried cleaning those dusty bastards with a solvent, because I'm an idiot. They sound great though.

Audeze LCD-2 Classic w/ Dekoni Suede pads - $450 shipped

Notes: I got these from someone on Head-Fi years ago. They had the headphones serviced, as they had a channel imbalance. As I understand, the drivers were completely replaced. Neither he, nor I, put a ton of hours on them. The only thing I did to these was poke new holes in the headband (see second pic) since this band will easily bottom out on the metal otherwise. I also added some adhesive foam strips to the metal (I have wooden headphone stands and didn't want them dinged up) and replaced the pads with Dekoni suede. Comes with Audeze stock SE cable.

HE-5LE transplanted into HE-5 Cups w/ 3.5 mm cable mod and balanced Ninja Cables cable - $250 shipped - SOLD

Notes: I designed and printed some grills for these, but they are only friction-fit in place, easy to remove. Headphones come with Brainwavz hybrid pads. I got these from @sealand1 for $260 a few years back, which is an INSANE deal. I simply bought a balanced cable and did some soldering to make these work with any generic 3.5 TRS or TS connector. These are amazing looking headphones, and they sound amazing, I just am too afraid to use them. Truly one of a kind. (previous sale thread: https://superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/sold-he5-with-he5le-driver.9246/). I can track down measurements if people are interested.

Might as well throw them in one of these vintage boxes too.

    HE-4 + generic balanced cable - $200 shipped - SOLD

Notes: selling these is bittersweet, as they were once my favorite headphones. Unfortunately I can't handle the treble anymore. I've done countless mods and never successfully tuned the treble down enough. These are the same pair of HE-4s that Marv measured back in the changstar days. You can find measurements if you search around. The only permanent mod I did was remove the "star felt" on the backside of the driver. I'll provide some modding supplies and suggestions, as I think these are a fun project for modding. Comes with Brainwavz hybrid pads and stock velour pads.

Measurements can be provided for all three headphones, if desired. Reach out if you have any questions. Cheers!

Aha, I remember this special he5le, the connectors were he traditional sma and I changed to the trs connectors. At that time I bought my first HD800 and I sold all of my hifiman cans. During these years I bought and sold many hd 800 cans and also tried some Stax headphones. Currently I still use hd800 as my major headphone and use trafomatic head 1 as the amp.
This is a very interesting journey for me and I hope the next owner also enjoys the headphone.

Whoever got that HE5LE is in for a treat, beware they also benefit from big power the way the HE6 does, even if they are not as demanding as the 6.

I have both and many people have told me they actually prefer the 5LE to the 6, due to the more mid forward presentation. Vocals can be very intimate with the 5LE
