Schiit, can you make a portable/transportable DAC/AMP?

The amp is very prone to overheating because of the design and even at low gain there is a noticeable noise floor when using IEMs. It sounds pretty good, but the heat combined with the unfortunate tendency for the amp part to short itself out when using the 4.4mm balanced connectors makes it a bit of a non starter. And the DAC side is fairly buggy and requires specialized OTG type C cables to operate.

You might consider the Creative WT-B3. I've been shopping around and saw a review that said, "The Bluetooth connection to this transmitter is also very strong and the range is impressive, as I tested it within all 3 floors of my home and did not lose connection once."

I've had an ES100 for a couple of years and like it a lot. I use it as bluetooth receiver during my train commute, and connected to laptop as DAC/AMP while at work. Not commuting now because of COVID, but if it starts up again I may upgrade to a Qudelix 5K (no other reason than new toy syndrome).

On Head-Fi, member ClieOS compiled an excellent comparison of current high quality bluetooth receivers:
