SOLD BNIB HEX v2

I have a Brand New In Box HEXv2 that I received from Hifiman in exchange for my broken HE-6 and a "warranty upgrade fee" of sorts.

My asking price and a pic is in the HF link below. However, I am willing to take offers from SBAFers and wanted to share here. Edit: $899 for SBAF

I want to make it transparent that I do not consider this "flipping" as my purchase price for new HE-6 + "warranty upgrade fee" for this HEX v2 is way more than what I am asking. While tempting to keep, or at least try, I am very happy with my HD800 + ZDS and recently grabbed another HD650 for a laid back alternative

 

Just out of curiosity, HFM couldn't fix your broken HE-6?

 

Their policy these days is an exchange for a refurbished set. When I sent mine in recently, they said they didn't have a replacement set so they would have to send mine to China for repair. Then, a day later, I got an email that they had located a replacement set. When received, it looked and sounded good as new.

 

@gixxerwimp They would fix for a fee, because I had modded it. Unsure if it would have been free if I hadn't. But there were a few reasons I wasn't interested, mainly my pair were hardwired by myself and had many cosmetic defects as a result. Also I was thinking about moving on from the 6 anyway when the driver went dead.

So, they had no more replacement units. This was actually a day or two after @beemerphile posted they had found him one. So I paid their small ransom for the HEX, but I'd rather just sell and move on for now.

 

Previous price drop was lost to the server burp, so we'll do an even better, final one.

$899 shipped in US for SBAF. Lowest of all my listings and lowest I'm willing to go on this one
