    There are some sites which are more "wtf" like reddit/headphones with their frequent audiophile recommendation of products like M50x headphones and ODAC/O2.

    Or in my country, they have this forum called Xtremeplace where drug peddlers recommend exotic expensive designer equipment to people.

    Headfi is worst because they claim to be Switzerland but act more like North Korea.

    my preference is that this thread not be closed, but morphs into a place to record (and not delete) the times when HF over moderates valid posts to obviously protect the guilty, or the MOT in CYA mode.
    the sanitization of HF threads is not apparent to newbies (or even people who read infrequently!) and thus if currawongdong shenanigans are shown/captured here, there's a record of pseudo reality to be viewed and balanced against the whitewashing that HF wishes to control and retain as false history.

    A lot of people who are just coming over from the hellscape of HF need to vent. Its healthy to vent. I see this as an unpleasant but necessary thread here for people to vent, read the venting of others, and slowly heal their battered souls.

    The WTF HF? thread at chang was wayyy worse. I remember following the chang version of this for a while, but slowly tapering off my interest. It actually helped get HF out of my system. Some newer members here probably need that still.

    I haven't visited this thread again until today, and I probably won't after this. Still, I think it has value for whoever wants to visit. Kind of like a convalescent ward / museum of sorts depending on how far out you are.

    I created a Head-Fi account.

    I have thought that if something comes up in the Used Deals thread here and it is for sale over there and I want to make a purchase, I should be ready. It hasn't happened yet, but it could.

    So I have been looking around there for something I would like to post. I am having difficulty being inspired, so far. Maybe I am overthinking it.:confused:
