Jesse Sykes, in case you don't know her, is the lead singer in the band Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter.

Band Page on Songwhip I recommend checking out the album "Reckless Burning" for one of my favorite albums of all time, also one of the saddest albums ever recorded. Absolutely devastating but in such a good way. If you need it, it's there for you.

Jesse talks about things I haven't read talked about so intelligently or eloquently or with such an informed background very often. In fact, I usually hear the opposite opinion- all positive things about the internet and the music industry. Jesse points out a lot of issues. And even if you don’t agree, she is so intelligent in her arguments, it is worth reading even if you barely give 2 shits about music.
