My 2nd most favorite PF album. I was having flashbacks while Sheep was playing. Whoa!

 

I never heard what the computer voice was saying in “Sheep”, until I listened on a modded Bifrost Multibit. It’s reciting Psalms 23.

 

Keep coming back to this album from 2020. So good. Someone needs to make a video game based on this album.

 

IDK about a video game but it was a pretty good book, and apparently a movie too (which I haven't seen)

Thanks for posting this. Wonderful Warren Zevin song. It is a shame that Lind’s best hits were covers because she did them better. It is also a shame she lost her voice.

Here she is at the top of her game in 1977 in Houston in the movie FM. “Poor Poor Pitiful Me” starts around 4:36. Although the opening “Tumbling Dice” is one of my absolute favorites. Musicians at the top of their gam. And the guitar player, Waddy Wachtel, is in the Keith Richards side project, the X-Pensive Winos. If you’re a fan of this kind of music, the movie FM is worth a watch.

I actually backed into being a Zevon fan because of this album. Side note: I'm surprised how good the physical condition of the record, given I know this one got the hell played out of it for multiple years.

I know I saw that at one point but somehow wrapped it around a mental block in my head. Thank you so much for stirring this one back up.

 

FM actually got the Arrow 4k BlueRay treatment a couple of years ago, so it is out there. I am a huge fan of the movie. And such an awesome soundtrack. I think all the music rights though kept this one from any good release. I was ecstatic to see Arrow finally did it justice.

I also have the soundtrack on vinyl, but it is hella scratched, even though it said VG+ from Discogs. Ugh.

 

Some of the most beautiful female vocal harmonies I've heard. Great Americana and plain fun music to listen to.

Three minutes of rather weird intro. Includes Jerry being briefly introduced by a really weird freak --- wearing a suit and bow tie. Ahem, interesting audience! Nice chicks, though! (Period language: I haven't called anyone a chick for 35 years).

I wonder how many of those people couldn't manage to utter much more than Faaar out, Man! a few months later as the spirals and stars exploded inside their heads.
