WTB: "beater" HD800

I'm toying with the idea of modding an HD800 as a fun project (i.e. tame the face tweeter challenge). So I'm looking for a cheap pair, don't care about cosmetic condition, original box, etc. Connectors can be janky and I don't even need a cable as I plan to rewire them. As long as the cups, headband and drivers are serviceable and functional. Anyway, let me know if you have a beat up pair you want to get rid of.

And if anyone has any of the official SBAF rug liner, that'd be great too. I found a couple of WTB threads from last year that have been closed already. I believe the SuperDupont Resonator is still available, but if anyone has one they don't want I'll take it off their hands.

They were still available from @sorrodje as of ~6 months ago. If you get the beater HD800s and he is no longer making them, I have an extra pair.

 

I searched back through the archives and many pairs of HD800 went for very reasonable prices. I'd be game for something not necessarily in "beater" condition on the lower end of the range.

 

Ended up buying a new pair locally, and have SDR on the way.
