WTT: HD8XX for Focal Clear

If anyone is looking to trade their Clear for an HD8XX hit me up.

Will also sell them for $600 to members and contributors.

 

Not that I wanna trade (I like mine thankyouverymuch), but are you looking for the OG or Mg version?

 

Either honestly. I’ve not heard the MG, but it’s not too different right?

 

I could daily the Clear if I had to, but the Mg honestly was just offensive to me. YMMV.

 

It’s not a trade, but headphones.com still has the OG at final sale $839, and an open box one at $790. The Mg goes for 1499.

 

They're vastly different headphones, at least to me. I had the original and loved it; I heard the Mg on an SBAF loaner tour and couldn't stand it. I realize this is a matter of subjective preference but the two do sound very different, in terms of tuning, even if they share similar imaging, headstage and a few other characteristics.

 

I could be deaf (and only ever tried the MG in a meet demo setting), but I rather preferred the less upper-mid heavy voicing of the MG to the original Clears so might as well try both to see what works for you @ColtMrFire.

Also: if you can find it for a decent price, the red and black Clear Professional is (ostensibly) the exact same as the silver Clears, just made to look more "gamer".
