I rewatched this show the other week and found out more about it from the initial watch. Mostly about the parallels between Kaori and Kousei's mom. I wasn't fond of all the violence against Kousei, but in a weird way it was understandable.
@Aelms Yeah! I only recently started blogging again a few days ago, starting with my KNS 2 review. There's a pretty good amount of C89 album previews out now too, so I'll be checking those out and posting about them. Cool to see that you check out doujinstyle as well.
@insidious meme The parallels between Kaori and Kousei's mom are strong. However, one of the most significant outcomes of Kaori's actions is that she made Kousei remember and realize all of the positive memories of his mom; not just his negative ones. And yeah... I don't understand all the violence against Kousei, or how he's still alive. Did you mean from his mom or from his friends?
The violence from his friends. I guess that's how they roll. The violence from Kaori is more from her circumstances than anything. I don't want to necessarily spoil anything for those interested in watching. I will say the ending isn't your typical one.
I think the humour of those scenes got lost from the manga-to-anime translation, making them seem somewhat more serious than they really should. Didn't even register to me until I read the comments online.
