What I wanted to say was that I prefer them to the Mahoganies, which were already fantastic. They sound more refined and focused all around, especially in the treble and, to a lesser extent, the bass. They would serve as an excellent gift to someone new to the hobby, offering an accessible, refreshing experience of the music without much fuss, though they do indeed scale with better gear, too.
Very comfortable. I could see myself wearing these for hours. The weight is a welcome heft that makes them feel sturdy and non-cheap, and the distribution is excellent. I suppose the main ergonomic complaint, as iterated ad naseum, is the cable length. I have it looped around a Emotiva passive pre volume knob and have no issues with this.
Well, at least that's a fairly easily correctable issue. Much harder to deal with the weight of inadequately balanced wooden cups. If I find myself in the market to buy a closed can in near future, this'll be at the top of my list. Seriously dig the color.
