I purchased this amp from wadec22 on Head-fi for use with HE6SE, but changed to Vidar after using it for about a month.

Is the vidar better?? I use a 545ii with he500 and it is an awesome combo. The Melos preamp I use might be a big X factor here though.

 

I would have to put the Vidar ahead of the Adcom for the overall listening experience. The Vidar has a bit more low end slam and refinement overall. Both amps do a great job, but Vidar seemed to have better control of all frequencies. If you are focused on the listening the Vidar is clearly better, if the music is more of a background ambiance, im not sure the upgrade is worth the cost.
