I bought an amp from this seller a while ago and it was a good transaction.

This is the version of the amp with the white dot indicating the hum issue had been fixed. Great amp for the HD 800.

 

While I agree that the coloration of the amp really helps tame the 800, I don't see this amp as being worthy of the 800. It's been a few years since I've owned a Jr but regardless of tubes there was an inherent coloration (helpful) mixed with cloudiness, mist or greyness (not helpful) that I couldn't roll my way out of.

For a 600 tho? Fuhgeddaboudit. Works great.

Selling an Eddie Current ZDS aka Zana Deux S headphone amplifier. It is the 220V version, all in black with P&G volume control. The amplifier is in perfect working condition (please read the note below regarding tubes), but there are some cosmetic signs of use on the housing, some of which were present from the manufacturer. Those familiar with the manufacturer know that more emphasis is placed on functionality rather than appearance.

The amplifier has been upgraded with a HiFi-Tuning Supreme 3 Slow-Blow Fuse. Replacement fuses of the same type, as well as the original fuse, are also included. Some cleaning/maintenance fluids are also included (refer to the photo of the box with the tubes), some of which have already been used.

The amplifier comes with the five tubes from the original manufacturer's delivery (see Eddie Current page for details) and the additional tubes listed below:

- At least 6 new Ulyanovsk 6C33C-B tubes
- At least 2 NOS Ulyanovsk 6C33C-B tubes

"At least" because one 6C33C-B tube broke and I had to replace it with a new pair. Since I don't remember whether they were NOS or new, I deducted two from the count, meaning there are even more tubes included than indicated here.

Important note: I acquired all the tubes along with the headphone amplifier from the previous owner without individually testing each one. Since it would take too much time and effort to test each tube individually, it must be assumed that there may be a few that do not function properly. Therefore, I do not offer partial refunds or replacements for defective tubes, meaning the purchase is made at the buyer's own risk regarding the tubes. However, since most tubes are duplicated at least once, the risk of a particular tube type not being usable is quite low. The ones I personally tested (especially the driver tubes) all functioned perfectly.

Is this going to sound similar to the Eddie Current BA? This is different than Studio B right.

 

If I am not wrong the Studio B is the SJR internals in the BA chassis.
