imgur also offers and app to do it natively on your phone, I believe.

I'm on grass cutting detail. Very unfortunate for me I'm the only man in the entire family. I'll get on that this evening

Did the felt mod, definitely hear an overall sonic improvement pretty quickly. I still notice a bit of treble 'etch', or maybe what I've heard as 'tizziness', but it's not as pronounced.

The fatigue I mentioned previously also was due to the headband. I woke up this morning with a distinct pain/ache at the top of my head. I have a Lohb strap due in this week, but that was probably contributing more than the treble. Here's a pic of my set up (don't mind the cables, still working on getting everything situated)

You can also bend the ever loving shit out of the headband, once I got mine to actually lay nicely on my head and not crush my temples with clamping I can wear these things for hours without issue. Note: I have a big noggin though.

Yes, you have to bend the headband to the shape of your head. I don't use that silly Lohb strap. Stock headband is very comfy if bent perfectly. Also clamping pressure tends to be uneven so bending is a must.

I used the Lohb strap for a while, thought it was amazing, then took it off and found the original metal strap headband to be the best. Bend it past the point of where you want it to stay to allow for permanent deformation.

So I guess the issue is that I ostensibly have a cone-head... It's not so much a matter of bending the metal band outwards, but somehow inwards to accommodate the top point of my head. I will continue to bend it until I can attain a more comfortable fit, but in the interim have wrapped the metal band in some soft microfiber towel which is helping quite a bit.

Aside from the comfort issue, the felt mod has apparently fixed any treble fatigue I had. These sounds scary good with my budget speaker amp set up. Modi2U isn't bad, but I feel I can do better. All the help has been much appreciated.

Multibit might be the next step, but go to a meet if you can to hear gear with your phones. Also, you can bend the headband anyway you like, within reason. So you CAN shape it to your "cone head".

Being up in NH makes it tough to make it to any meets (I was at the last Nashua, NH meet), but I agree about the Multibit/R2R. I'm also using USB->M2U so I might look into the Wyrd/Regen/Mutec I keep reading about...

Never said which way. Bend to the shape of your head so it has very even contact all around.

You can go ahead and cancel your order for the strap.

We get it... you don't like the Lohb strap. That's no reason to tell others to cancel their order. For a meager $35, this saved me from selling my LCD-2 headphones, which I can now wear comfortably for hours on end. The HE-6 are admittedly less of a problem in terms of weight, but I personally prefer the feel of suspended soft leather than a hard surface, and others may also.

    LOHB FOREVAH!

I also like soft leather on my head, as long as there's a hole cutout for me to breath, but I also like the feeling of hard something against my head, if you know what I mean.

This hobby is clearly bringing out the fetishist in all of us. I may yet kickstart a company that custom wraps hi-fi equipment and cables in cow-hide for the full on leather experience.

Back in the HE-6 game................long story short - had one for about 15 months, sold it, thinking the Ether was my future end game. Wrong. Auditioned it, almost bought it, came to my senses and couldn't find an HE-6 so tried the HD800. Loved it out of my Pioneer Spec vintage speaker amps system (that's it in my avatar) but after a couple of months realized it would never match the HE-6 in the bass department so as luck would have it, found a guy in HF that traded me straight up for it. Thank goodness for small miracles - have had it for a couple of weeks, done all the mods (Lohb strap <which I love>, Vegans taped in, open grill mod with Inspired Designs "Biohazard design <most open version they make>, Sorbothane damping, felt mod on the Vegans). Have not yet done Blutack (will do that this weekend) and driving it out of the speaker taps again on my Spec 2 amp. Back in headphone heaven and basshead dreamland. [IMG]

@Oregonian can you elaborate about the Grill, this company inspired designs makes them? I'm very interested and apparently my Google skills are failing because I'm finding Women's clothing

Edit: Thanks @No_One411 for the link below, I wasn't even close. CPU fans, clever
