Im gonna try selling these again. I got them all set up now that I'm back from korea and i just don't have time to listen at all, and won't till I'm done with school most likely which will be years, using the HD-650s are my foreseeable future.

Im willing to ship, but they are rather large and come in big wooden crates, so they will be expensive to do so, hence I would prefer local if thats possible, here in Portland OR

haha as a poor college student i will say that i don't think a dartzeel integrated is anywhere in my near future.

I will say though that the first time I heard them was with a dartzeel pre and the mono blocks, with the playback designs cd player/DAC in a completely purpose built room, the guy built a room inside a room in his giant basement and had separate power and everything, with diffusion panels and bass traps and everything. it was incredible. he was using them as his surrounds though, since he had the MM3s as his mains. and as awesome as all that sounded, he also had 3 different reel to reel machines and a whole wall full of master tapes, i spent like 5 hours in his basement, he was an incredibly nice guy, still the best sound I've ever heard. I got to listen to all of Texas Flood, a live cut, off 1/2" master tape, f'ing unreal is what it was.

anyways, yes, these things sound great as well, and I really am sad to see them go :/ but like i said, it will be a long time before I'm able to truly appreciate them again, which is doubly sad as I just got them back out of storage!

Good thing you're not in Korea anymore- shipping would probably have been cheaper to Singapore, and I would probably have been tempted. I really shouldn't!

My guess would be somewhere around 200 bucks, plus or minus 50 bucks.

What kind of amplification do these need? Would they work well with a Ragnarok?

 

Maybe? Would depend on how small the room was, but I know many people say they won't really start rocking till you give them at least 100watts. I used them with a 250watt audio gd speaker amp, so I'm not sure how they would respond to less.
