IMHO a conservative and safe approach is to find owners/resellers who can give you a good amount of audition without too much pressures. Buying new still seems pretty risky. Blind buy is even more so..
When I happened to hear their M9 amps (unsure which reivisions I heard) in local meets, Kingwa seems to try to reduce or eliminate global/local negative feedbacks. NFB-less sounding at its suboptimal-ish (tubey in bad ways, muddy bass, etc). Still long way to go. But I'm a very NFB guy so please take a grain of salt..
Back b4 I found SBAF, I bought an AudioGD C-2 HF amp. It played loud, but made everything sound simply awful So bad I coundn't in good faith sell it off when the time came.
I had a C-2 as well @roughroad. No dynamics at all. Current drive amps. And @Vtory you can have NFB all day, but it is still the amp design that still counts.
