I was listening to Solti's rendition of Eugene Onegin with royal opera house orchestra (w/ Sus). Three times in a row. Hella beautiful orchestration with great details. Cues were almost visible.
You can't go wrong, but you're not gonna go really right. The notes are all there in the right order, but you find yourself asking, "Is that all there is?" But when he's hot, he's sizzling—and it's wonderful. His late Wagner excerpts, his early Mahler 5th, even his New World.
