I dislike iOS 16 because there are too many settings and choices. Many had this complaint about Android, though it never bothered me when I used it (2011–16). But one of the strengths of iOS used to be that even a boomer housewife could figure out the settings without asking. That was lost by iOS 15; and it's considerably worse in 16.
Agreed, and it's not intuitive—the settings that you can customize. Definitely boomer-proof. It's a wonder why they did it, were there really people with pitchforks at the loop demanding rather silly and badly implemented customizations?
Downgraded to Monterey and got my 16 hours per charge back, when I was lucky to get 6 on Ventura. But downgrading to iOS 15.7 hasn’t shown the same battery life as before… perhaps it’s a hardware issue?
