    Phillips ECG tubes are of production runs from 1980 onwards, and IIRC are from a Sylvania plant (in US) until the late 80s and when that ended, was outsourced to any other tube manufacturer in business under the continued Philips ECG name. Regular Phillips are older prod (usually EU or Amperex made) and usually better quality than the ECG stuff (especially PhillipsECG blue print) which many find to be poorer in SQ.

    The made in US ones are shite. I did the mistake of ordering 2 a few years ago. The EU ones are incomparably better.
