It's the rumored Spotify answer to Tidal. http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/1/14776780/spotify-hi-fi-preparing-launch-lossless-audio-tier
Yeah, I'm waiting to hear more info about that. After bouncing around between streaming services, I'm back with Spotify.
@Merrick what made you stick to or return to spotify?
@brencho I dropped Tidal when they announced their MQA titles. Apple Music is convenient on my phone but isn't compatible with the version of Android that the ZX2 runs on. Qobuz works on both but is almost twice the price since I have to use Euros or Pounds to pay for it, and that leaves Spotify. It works on my phone and my ZX2. I just hope they announce a lossless option soon.
yeah totally. but even with the MQA titles on tidal, does that override the non-MQA content or do they both exist on there?
AFAIK they both exist but I chose not to give Tidal any money while they're in bed with MQA, whether I use the MQA streams or not.
The other issue is that Tiday's library is a lot smaller than Spotify's for esoteric stuff, which is most of what I listen to.
