I just uploaded this 720mW per channel amp project in my blog.

It's a transformer coupled parallel single ended 6SN7 with a cap coupled 6CG7 input/driver. The square waves and numbers aren't great but I've been having fun with my headphones using this amp since the start of the 2020 lockdown.

Here's a short clip of the amp recorded using an iPhone 6S driving my recently restored Snell JIIIs.:)

I can empathize with your attraction to the 6SN7, it has the characteristics of big triodes without the raw power (which is why I like hybrids )

    And nicely done!

    Thanks!

You captured the essence of my DIY audio journey which is similar to violinists talking shop about the subtle difference between a darker Guarneri del Gesu vs. the more brilliant golden period Strads or record engineers discussing what glue to add in their final mix.:)

J, you actually inspired me previously to attempt an all tube build and I am making slow progress on this humble circuit

That's a very interesting PP EL84 circuit! I've never seen it before and have no hands on experience with the ECC803s hi-mu (?) triode. But the very first amp I built from scratch is the Dynaco circuit below.

    I used 6SL7s > 6V6s > Z565 OPTs (Dyna SCA/ST35). It was a very fine sounding amp driving LS3/5As and ESL57s.

The circuit you posted is a similar topology. I think it'll sound just as good or even better. Looking forward to your posts on that amp project!
