EVERSOLO DAC-Z8

I heard about this dac a couple of months ago and was looking into it, but as I hadn't heard much chatter about it in the audio community. However, I was eagerly awaiting the feedback from my friend, Goldensound, who is known for his exceptional measurements and transparency in his reviews. After reading his measurements, I decided to purchase the DAC and have been using it for the past few weeks. I wanted to share my impressions because I believe this DAC offers excellent value, and I know there may be some sceptics regarding its use of an ESS DAC for the price. Initially, I was also sceptical, but after trying it, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a very subdued ESS sound signature, and the details and punchiness it produces are superb. It is a fantastic standalone preamp with an excellent pot, and although there may be better preamps for the price, it is an outstanding DAC and preamp combo. The little amp it has inside works well with my IEMs and headphones as the noise is extremely low, making it perfect for those using a power amp for headphones and need another amp for iems as they're too sensitive without needing to buy an attenuator box. Overall, I was extremely impressed with this DAC, and I would love to hear about other people's experiences with it.
