FS: DNA Stratus V2

Hello all...

Selling my DNA Stratus v2 (serial number 44). I purchased this from @Clear Water a few years ago and absolutely adore it.

The ONLY reason I am selling is to get funds to move to a V3 Stratus. It's been hard to get on Donald's list for the upgrade and this makes more sense.

I would rate the condition conservatively at a 8.5 out of 10, but honestly a 9. Only damage is a slight dent on the right of the chassis from shipping I assume. It is not noticeable unless looking for it.

I polished and waxed the chassis, replaced all tube sockets so they are nice and tight, cleaned the TKD pot, replaced every single zinc screw with new zinc screws, and lastly replaced the 3 balanced output sockets with brand new units. The amp is dead silent. Also installed "upgraded" input rca jacks for both inputs.

Includes stock tubes and a collection of fun input tubes to get your started on your rolling journey.

I was only going to wish you good luck but i had no idea that there was different versions of this. What are the differences? Transformers? Got me curious.

Here's Donalds explanation from a long ago thread for what V3 involves...

In version 3 I change the ground point location for audio path to shorten it; I also change the grounding on the balanced outputs. These changes help reduce the noise floor further.

The other major change in version 3, and even more influential on the sound, are the cathode bypass capacitors.


Side note:
V4 cannot be added to earlier v2 or v3 Stratus, requires a new chassis and costs $4k plus.
