FS: Eddie Current ZDS

I have a fun one for you all today, the infamous Eddie Current Zana Deux Super. I was a big fan of this amp once I got the right tubes in it, but I am still just a bit too restless in this hobby to settle into a long-term relationship, so selling this to fund whatever is next. The Enleum I put in my living room setup has been stealing my headphone time lately.

In great shape, serial number 132. I have owned this for the past few months and have enjoyed a lot of great late-night listening sessions once my kids are asleep. This plus JAR 600 and JAR 800 will be missed. I struggled with this amp a bit at first, but once I removed the Red Base RCA tube that came in it from the previous seller, and I swapped out the Telefunken rectifier for some Sylvania copper rods, it really started to sing. In particular, changing the rectifier made such a big difference IMO that I stocked up on a couple extra pairs, one other Sylvania and a Phillips ECG. Will include those extra along with the Telefunkens. I personally ran a variety of NOS 6SL7 in this depending on mood/cans, but just including a Shuguang 6N9P in this to get you started while you start your own tube rolling journey.

This unit has the gold point stepped attenuator and has synergistic research orange fuse installed.

Asking $2,000 total, I cover CONUS shipping. Don't have the original box, but the guy I bought it from paid to have it professionally packaged and I saved all of those materials to repack.

 

Fantastic amp from a wonderful dude. A match made in heaven with just about any Sennheiser you can throw at it. Someone will be very happy they picked this up!

 

Man. Pretty content right now, but a good ZDS always gives me the twitch.

Anyone willing to swap out the stepper attenuator for a nice potentiometer for me if I pay all shipping? You get to hear the ZDS in exchange. I’d love to hear this amp but a stepped attenuator doesn’t work for me.
