Letting go of one of my LIOs.

This one is in great condition (save for a few superficial scratches on the top plate) and comes configured as follows:
    • $2995 Base unit + charger + metal remote
    • $295 Input selector board (3x RCA)
    • $2195 AVC+tube preamp (the reason you'd buy this, to be honest) - brand new matched JJ 6922 gold pin
    • $695 Headphone amp (1/4")
    • $895 MOSFET speaker amp (25W)
For those who don't know what LIO is: it's a modular audio platform built around an ultra-quiet UltraCapacitor-based power supply, which can be configured to be any combination of:
    • An RVC (resistor volume control) or AVC (autoformer volume control, like the icOn preamps) preamp with optional tube stage
There also exist a DHT module for it, but it's a different machine altogether
    • A DAC
    • A phono preamp
    • An headphone amp
    • A power amp
The preamp is really the heart of the LIO, since all the other components are connected to it. The AVC+tube is the most transparent preamp I've personally heard and also incredibly quiet (I also have the VR120 power amp, which has a very high gain and, as a result, reveals noise upstream very easily: Freya S has a faint but noticeable hiss with Susvara, LIO is dead silent. So is Kara). While the other components might seem 'cheap' on their own (e.g. the headphone amp module), they all benefit from the UltraCap power supply and the preamp and perform well above their individual price tag.

Anyhoo, the one I'm selling is a fantastic preamp and doubles up as a very good headphone and 25W/8R speaker amp.
Note: the tubes can be defeated - for pure AVC - if desired.

As noted in the head-fi ad:
"The clarity is simply incredible and the built-in headphone amp sounds great with my JAR660S and the built-in 25W MOSFET amp drives Susvara very well as well.
This unit replaced both my Enleum AMP-23R (Susvara) and ECP T4 (JAR660S), that says it all."

I have another LIO with similar config but with a L2 DAC which I'm keeping.

Friends can get it for $2000 net to me.

Otherwise, price is $2200 net to me.

Bump for a great system - a very similar unit was at the last socal meetup and long story short it impressed me.
