I searched this site for threads or entries about this headphone amp module but didn't find any. Since there are quite a few fans of the JLH 1969 amp clone by Nobsound here, I thought my latest blog upload might be of interest.

So after the March lockdown I ordered this $25 pre-assembled module + a 24VCT@2A transformer and assembled them on a bread board. The only problem I encountered was unstable DC offset in the output. I could never get a steady zero volt reading from both channels, so I installed DC blocking caps. Even if I'm an old-timer with SET amps, I appreciate the Nobsound NS02g and this amp sounds very similar - a Class A solid-state amp that sounds almost like a good tube amp.

Here's a short clip of the amp playing in my near-field system.
