    Just a little bump...
The San Diego meet is happening this Saturday, 11/7. I hope some of you can make it. Should be a pretty low key but fun event. There will be some flagship gear like the Dharma, HE-1000, Stax 009, Ether's, Audio Zenith PMx2, etc.

If you want to get some quality listening time in, this is the meet for you. No crowds, free food, and free admission.

    See you there,
    -Darin

Not sure if I want to go...but I do have some new stuff that I could use some feedback on.

I'm guessing we have plenty of table space?

I think I'm mostly curious to compare my SRD7 from different amps. You're going to have the usual e-stat gear?

Anyone interested in carpooling from Central OC (Orange/Tustin/Irvine)? PM if yes.

Darin. 50% for me. Is there a spot left? One full table? TT+ ECZD?

    There's always room for VIP's! |\/|

Yes, plenty of room. You can have as many tables as you need. Hope you can make it.
Will you be coming as an EC representative, or just you personally?
I can put you down as tentative in the Head-Fi thread as Eddie Current if you want.

I assume "TT" means turntable, not a Hugo TT!:D

    Just me personally.

Dudes like Warren, Jude, etc. Those guys are the VIPs. I'm just a random idiot and would be preferred to be treated that way.

Sorry for hijacking the thread but thought few people may be interested in a short after party ;-).

Our company is moving out of the old building, new place is going to be much smaller and we most likely won't have a listening room there. Figured this event could be a good chance to show my stereo setup while I still can if pirates are interested.

Have not heard it myself for the last couple of years and today after setting it all up once again was simply blown away. This is the best sounding system I personally have ever heard and not by a small margin so hopefully someone else could enjoy it too while still possible.

Will order some chicken drums from a local restaurant to go with large pack of good beer.

Sorry for such a short notice but I just wasn't sure about being able to pull it off because of all the craziness that came with moving. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

    Thanks for the invite Alex.

FYI, Alex is talking about going up to Acoustic Zen in Rancho Bernardo:
It's about a 45 minute drive from the Coronado Library, up the I-15.
For those coming from LA/OC, it's sort of on the way home.

Anyway, it's really worth hearing Alex's speaker setup if you have the time.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, but please chime in if you want to go hear Alex's speakers.

Hodad's is good, but not the best. There's actually a really good burger place in Coronado called "Danny's Palm". Otherwise, some other good burgers are "Rocky's Crown Pub" and The Grill at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Those last two are my favorite burgers.

Peterson's Donut Corner! You won't believe it, but I have a box of donuts from Peterson's at my house right now. I had a job today right near there and picked some up for the first time. Excellent donuts! However, I still prefer V.G.'s Donut's in Cardiff. Either way you can't go wrong!

On the home ground going all out ;-) Decided to bring prototype IEMs and would love to hear what you guys think of the sound.
Sorry you can not come this time, Darin. I believe it sounds quite a bit different comparing to what you remember from two years ago. Back then I was all into DSPing loudspeakers and developed crosstalk cancellation algorithm (something many have attempted to do but not sure if anyone has actually succeeded). Another disturbing issue for me then was loudspeaker placement so I researched correlations between loudspeaker soundwave distribution and physiology of human auditory system.
All that work went into one very unique system and it really sounds quite interesting and by the way I can't even imagine how it would measure ;-). Will see what you guys think about that one too... ;).
