Just a clarification. My Gen-G is no older than whatever called "version 1.1" as I replaced tuning parts with the latest ones (including fresh pads) as soon as I purchased. But mine is clearly not with this new enclosure/structure shown in Tommy's latest post or Evan's explanation. I believe they will be versioned differently from 1.1 (maybe 2.0 or 1.2?)

And thanks for many kind messages worrying about my situation. Nothing terribly bad happened. My neck just got too old to deal with heavy things. I'm basically selling anything over 400g OR anything not with comfortable -- to my head -- headband (along with gears associated with such hps).

Hi all, glad to see many of the items now found new homes.

Nevertheless I am kinda surprised that I didn't get as many messages about GenG as I thought. I might have advertised with more effort. Thus, adding more pieces of information regarding what you can expect and will get. Several photos, too.

(Note: Even you are seeing "HD6xx" mark in the photo, it is NOT 6xx..)

Above are what the pair I'm selling looks like. I bought it used months ago and replaced all tuning parts and pads with new ones as they were either slightly deformed or hand-made (as opposed to machine-cut).

You can also expect to get the following accessories.
    • Audiophile Ninja Cable (quarter inch + XLR terminations): Only valid until Oct 24 -- buyer should finish payment until that day -- as one friend wanted to buy the cable only. Then I will include a different quarter-inch cable with slight discount (TBD).
    • Two sets of extra pads (one pair ETA pads + one pair of pancake pads) that can be used to enjoy pads rolling.
    • Two sets of blue foam rings (one machine-cut, the other hand-made) for those wanting cooler or leaner sounding.
    • Extra sushi filters and plugs. (Fresh) stock filters and plugs already equipped in the headphones, but not bad to have extra parts for some unexpected cases.
    • Headband cover for additional padding.
I won't say too much about what GenG is capable of. But shortly..
    • Very tunable. With various combination among foam rings, sushi filter placements, and plugs, users can enjoy a great degree of freedom to acoustically adjust tonality.
    • They're also the best performer for the weight (360g with the headband cover). I can't think of any contestable (to me) magnet based headphones lighter than gen-g. And I do believe gen-g can technically stack up against any hp heavier.
    • There are also pretty enthusiastic groups of people who are willing to give you advice. Found in the forum threads as well as ETA discord channel.
Then why am I letting them go? Good question.
    • HD6xx headband is not for my head (not only with Gen-G but also with any 6x0). I can't bear it with multi-hour listening. But majority in the forum doesn't seem to feel this way when they use hd580/hd600/hd650/hd6x0. So, if you're fine with those models, this may not apply to you.
    • Headband cover alleviated it significantly -- otherwise I might sell them much earlier. But honestly even with the cover, the comfort level is not even close to suspension straps. YMMV.
    • Lastly, earpads depth is a little shallower than I love.
I may keep whichever (between gen-g and lcd-x) remained in the end. Just wanted to give potential buyers more clues.

    Halloween D-1 bump.

FYI, LCD-X I'm selling is what is called "Creator package" which comes with a quarter-inch stereo plug terminated cable (as shown in the pic above). I can add the following decent 4pin XLR cable in case buyers need.
