Been noticing a bit of $125+ pairs about and uh... honestly not sure I'd they are worth it or not for my old melos amp. Not sure what I am looking for exactly but let me know if you've got anything to spare!

    6dj8/6922/7308/pcc88/ecc88/etc.

Thanks for the tip Tom! These tubes seem to go from $60ish to $150+ with not a lot in between. I know you have an OG Carlo uinit, I'm surprised it's still kicking in your stable!

Have not visited these tubes in a while, but rolled them a bit (around 2005, based on date stamp on box...) in the Audio Note 3.1x DAC.

Found the Siemen’s gold pin CCA's tops, although the Telefunken diamonds (<>) where about their equal. Very clean, balanced, extended. The 1960's tubes are preferable over the 1970's, in my opinion.

The are also incredibly durable, changed one pair for another because one tube developed a slight noise. Not bad for 10+ year of almost constant 24/7 power. In that time I've gone through 4 or 5 Bendix rectifiers, but these little tubes just keep at it.
