WTB: Black Yggdrasil

Forgot to post this here.

If you have a factory black Schiit Yggdrasil you're looking to offload, I'm interested.

 

I have a black Yggdrasil and I might be willing to part with it.

I have a new amp coming in tomorrow and I need a week to see if I like the pairing with my new amp. If I decide to sell the Yggdrasil I'll let you know.

The Yggdrasil sitting on top of the KGSSHV in the picture below is mine.

Yeah, I saw yours at the Massdrop and Alum Rock meets (it's the only one I've seen so far). Let me know if/when you want to sell and I'll take it.

 

I wasn't aware that Schiit made any black Yggdrasil??

 

These randomly appear on Schiit.com time-to-time. Schiit should have some kind of an email notification system where a desired finish, say black Yggdrasil, is available for sale.

 

If I knew who to bribe at Schiit, I'd try to get them to do a run of black units.

 

I've been wanting an option for the black finish on all their products for a while now. I email them once a month and they always say that they will pass on my feedback but it feels like it never happens.

 

Sorry to be a killjoy, but I really like the way Yggdrasil pairs with my new amp so I'm not interested in selling at this point.

FWIW, I just asked for a black one when I placed my order. Right before it shipped Schiit sent me an email saying that they didn't have any black ones, but lo-and-behold when the box arrived there was a black Yggdrasil inside.

Nothing to apologize for -- glad you're happy with the combo.

For everybody else, maybe we could arrange to buy black Yggdrasils from Schiit as a group (at the regular price or course)? I have no idea of the feasibility of this given Yggdrasil supply (especially of b-stock candidates to refinish) and Schiit's potential hesitance on group buys, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

 

Wow, nice! I emailed them and asked about getting a black finish Mojo 2 and they said "We might offer it someday, but as of the moment, we do not have any plans to do so in the foreseeable future." Maybe it's different for the Yggdrasil.
