Do the French have to put up with TicketMaster and the like?

They do have Ticketmaster but there’s a lot more restrictions with pricing over the US.

If you have CC points in the right places, the Air France directs to CDG are usually nicely priced.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your family member and friend. Very sad.

If your cough persists, please try to get CT scan etc. My experience... I had a very nasty and debilitating cough for five years. A couple of times a year I'd get sent to the specialist (British NHS) and an x-ray would show nothing. They would tell me to stop smoking and send me away.

        ...

Well, finally I /did/ stop smoking, which had no effect at all. Further tests followed, and, whilst x-rays continued to show no abnormality, a CT scan showed a large ball-shaped thing in the middle of my chest. ...

... Right up to surgery itself, they could not tell /what/ it was. Turned out to be a cyst. But it had become infected.

x-rays are wonderful. And what physicians can read from them is incredible to me. But sometimes they do not tell the whole story.

I've seen and heard a few "boutique" headphone amps in the $40k-100k+ range before at a few hi-fi stores overseas before... Let's just say that most of them felt more like a game of "how much will someone pay to show off to their friends" than "make good sound". Two of the amps did sound REALLY good though, better than anything production or custom I've heard here.

Modi Multibit 2 still has the 2-FET buffer that Yggdrasil OG had. Doing 8 discrete actual gain stages for current-output multiplying DACs (4 phases, 4 references) is not in the cards given space and current requirements.

But I thought the TI chips take less mA to run them @schiit, at least if I am reading the datasheet correctly. And still no room/power for a discrete I/V and op amp buffer?

@Armaegis - product evaluations are definitely suspect on both. For recipes though YouTube is superior. On Google I usually end up on a food blogger page or a major publication with a ton of ads and slows down my computer. On YouTube it’s someone filming their grandmother cooking and the recipe is pretty authentic

I would discover new music by going to a local CD store and browsing the pop punk section. They had CD players and headphones set up for demos. I bought anything from Drive Thru Records and visited absolutepunk.net for reviews and other recommendations.

@zonto - I remember CD players setup in some stores but it was usually for new releases and we couldn’t sample whatever we wanted.

While it shouldn’t be related I have found that album cover quality correlated pretty well with if I liked the album. Dogshit album covers usually had terrible music
