Right, and what about the females that are around here? Is it possible they're just not deserving enough to be part of "we"...

 

TBF he did ask me to do the equivalent of "fight me irl" before he deleted that part to be "respect your elders".

On the off chance I'm still not on the ignore list, here's a few reasons why you're being made fun of Big D (You're going to say I'm habitually complaining again, but ah well, respect is earned not given):

1) You ask for respect but you do not respect the culture of the site. You criticize and when criticized fall back to "I am who I am, Big D, drops Mike". That's not playing ball, that's grabbing the ball and running away with it. You keep making claims about most of us not knowing what good sound is, but you do. Really???

2) You tend to keep posting wall of texts that can be summarized much shorter and brings across the point better. As Mark Twain said "I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.". Using the enter key once in a while is also appreciated.

3) You keep posting short one liners as replies and end up double or triple or quadruple posting. Just edit your first post.

4) You keep bringing up past glory that we don't care about. Really. It doesn't mean anything. It just makes your posts longer and obfuscates your points.

 

Welcome back, Big D. Take some good advice on presentation skills (even I am not too old to learn, surely you are not?), accommodate some criticism and disagreement, and whoa... SBAF is your oyster. And if not, well, you don't have to be here.

@Big D Design , congratulations. I finally get to make this joke.

 

Dennis, I too decided some time ago that I should quit because of some criticism thrown my way. I did understand where the "hate" came from right from the start, and I'm sure if I'd seen someone else repeat my actions it would have caused me to react similarly. But me trying to clarify the situation didn't help so I got frustrated and it led to me wanting to quit. Of course my situation was completely different, but I thought I'd share.

I asked for my account to be deleted and logged off, and stayed away for about a week (maybe more?). The time off really let things sink in and let me see a little more clearly. I got a little push from one of the mods and came back. I lurked more and saw better what SBAF expected and how the community stood up for each other. I learned from it and realized that I may never be the guy taking chances and buying new equipment to give out impressions, but was okay with it. I stopped posting as often and used the criticism to try to be as signally as possible (I do still have a lot of noise in my posts, but I'm hoping one day I'll have actual value to add).

I dont know if this will help you at all, but I hope that you understand that expressing yourself shouldnt mean that you dont give some thought to your posts here. Most people have covered this, but a Blog would definitely work better for you, if you like posting every stream of thought that passes between your ears. This forum isnt for fluffing up egos and what not, people pat you on the back if you have legit information to share. Your SNR could probably have been a lot better without the double/triple posting. If you stick around, possibly take some time to think about your future posts before hitting the button (the forum autosaves your reply as well, so not too much to worry about there)

 

If he cannot take some criticism and some (often light) jokes then he should visit HC. There they skip being polite and go full "F.O.A.D." when you piss them off.

Seriously why do we bother sometimes? Carlin summarised the ten commandments into "thou shallt not be an ass hole" but when the politeness is not appreciated by cry baby noobs, seriously just tell them to go.

I have a life to live, so @Big D Design please grow a pair or go away. You are not worthy of a rant.

You asked about the weight loss with my FRS.... I removed 32lbs of unsprung weight 2 days after buying car with these wheels and tire setup. 215 in front and 225 in back. Same sizing as BRZ performance package. Spare Tire and Jack removal another 19 pounds. = 2700lbs Wheels and Tires are from Japan

 

I wouldn't mind some e-hugs....
