LH Lab Go2 Pro Infinity, is that the one to get? Red metal casing. Would it fair better than Mojo as a compact office setup? Nov 19, 2017 at 8:03 AM

@jexby mostly with sensitive IEMs and PM3. I'm a little lost with all the versions out there, but I see people commenting positively on SBAF about this line of products. Quite a few for sale on HF so I might pick one up

GO2Pro or GO2A are very good single ended, even better if you have balanced cabling. yes Red Metal is the deal. the gold metal casing is only for Special Editions which contain femto clocks. if your IEMs are uber sensitive like CA Andromeda and you can hear low level hiss, a IEMatch unit into GO2 will cure it.

Thanks for the info. The hiss is a little disappointing...

The local FB 2nd hand headphones group is dangerous... ZX2s, WM1As,... All very affordable. Why do you tempt me!

I'm just jealous that you have a local FB 2nd hand headphones group.

@elguapo yeah... I only discovered it recently. The guy from the local IEM shop showed it to me. I'm just happy I I didn't know of these FB pages in HK... I would have been broke by now.

Any recommendations for a small desktop DAC/amp without battery? Fed up with the Mojo charging situation. All my headphones are sensitive.

I liked the M9xx/M900 a lot when I had it, as well. DAC section is better (quality) than the amp, IME.. but it's pretty nice overall. It pairs really really well with highly sensitive IEMs, also (multi-BA, custom IEMs). No noise, digital vol. control that's super granular.

In Berlin I tried a Pro-Ject DAC/Amp with DSD and Roon compatibility. Pretty nifty unit and so small...

That moment of awe when you hear something new in a track you've heard dozens of times.

Definitely exists. Found some impressively high dBTP numbers in my collection when Jriver added r128. Turn down 2dB and you'll have them handled.

The above advice is mainly for pop, rock, dance. Jazz and classical are much more likely to not exceed 0, or only do so by an inaudible .1 or .2.

I re-did a few files and can hear an improvement, mostly hotter pop and rock recordings. Worth the $10 for the SW

No love for Fidelio X1? Very similar to X2 but less V-shaped. Same driver, different diaphragm config.

Same IEM, different sources have more or less out of head spatial image. What is it in the source that increases it?
