    We're only fostoring for about a week. We wouldn't have jumped into something like this so soon, but she popped up with the organization where we found Tucker (shameless plug: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/), and she shares her name with both my, and my GF's mothers.     Neuro is greatly improved, she's climbing/descending stairs w/o assistance, and platelet count is spectacular. but bad GI response (poss. ulcer) for 7 days now is taking a toll. Just want to get my little girl the recovery she deserves after such a hard fought battle to still chase squirrels.

    She's still not able to stand (hence the handi-harness), but right now we're planning to have her home on Monday, as long as we can get her off the IV and feeding/drinking

  Quick update: Tucker is stable and improving, albeit slowly. Still day-to-day, but the ITP is improving. Neuro improvemnt is slow, but good.

    @Thad E Ginathom I'm so sorry to hear that. Best wishes and keep hoping for better news. We're lucky to learn today that Tucker's condition is stable but improving ever so slightly. I can't begin to express how stressful it is to try to focus every fiber of being into a laserbeam of telekinetic well-wishing to a sick, tired, and scared doggy miles away, but that's what my GF and I have been trying do.

    @internethandle her first panel from saturday evening was 35k platelet count. This morning she's at 80k, so, per the internist, we're out of the danger zone but still have a way to go. Neuro wants to wait 48-ish hours to let the steroids plus some anti brain-swelling do their thing, but secondary options are a chemo med, and thirdly a tranfus. I'm hopeful for no transfus.
