Since my car is in the repair shop due to the minor hit-and-run, my car insurance company gave me the Mazda for the rental! WTF a SUV needs to be fast with high center of gravity?!

1. It’s not fast.
2. It’s phenomenal in the snow, like Subaru good. Absolutely f'ing epic.

I don’t get why people buy these SUVs for other reasons.

Turbos hide the weight of SUVs on acceleration at least. Plus it's a game changer if you climbing up hill.

I’ve owned two Subaru AWD vehicles over the last 12 years. Chicago winters can be brutal, but I’ve never once been stuck in the snow. These cars are designed for specific purposes; living in Florida is not one of them.

Thank goodness it was a rental.

Also I have to add this: There’s a bunch of these CX9 AWD models in Jax. Shit, there’s one even in my apartment complex in a different color!

Many yuppies have an incessant need to feel like they’re connected to nature. They rarely venture outside the city limits, but these cars fulfill the emotional longing for an active lifestyle, even if their actual lifestyle is far from it.

got a neighbor who's SUV probably hasn't moved in a month. They both WFH and get groceries, walmart, etc delivered. I see the guy outside once an awhile, but otherwise the only way you know they're there is lights on at night

Off roads in FL requires a real 4x4 @purr1n, not AWD BS like these Mazdas and most Subarus.
