What's your opinion on the tuning of the IE300? I see a lot of disdain for them from non-owners but almost never run across anyone who actually uses them.

I like the tuning. They fit pretty comfortably well too. Pretty good staging for an IEM. Basically, it's an IE600 in a plastic shell instead of metal.

I don't thiing they do anyting "wrong" to my ears, but I consider myself a noob at evaluations still. The bass is really nice. I don't hear bleed into the mids. Treble is on par with HD660S2 I'd say..

I have a IE300 too, found them to be wholly inoffensive as far as peaks and treble nasties, very good mids and captivating bass. They do seem to like a bit of power to shine though.

Thanks guys! I really gotta try more stuff instead of being caught up in other people's distaste for anything outside of the accepted average.
